Sometimes in life, wishes don't come true
And things don't go as planned
Rainy days come, and storms pass through
And we don't understand
Why do we try to make sense of this life,
Why are we full of regret?
And how can we trust what we see with our eyes,
When they're not open yet?

And as we look back on our days,
We realize that we were unaware

As hard as we try, we can never change
Some things just stay the same.
When life falls apart, we look for somebody else
To take the blame.
It's hard to be true when the world's down on you

It's one of those times when you're trying to fly
But throw your wings away.
