Out the front door to see where it was coming from
I walked on hills and valleys
I walked on ghetto streets
And everywhere that I went I was in search of this beat

But I'd actually dropped the ball I was surrounded
By all of these cynics trying to nail
My ass against the wall I looked around for a plan to escape
I saw no superhero superman cape
That's when I looked and took a trip inside my mind
